Join Cindy French from 10:30 – 12:30 during 3 Fridays in July to learn 3 different techniques useful in many quilt blocks. These mini classes are free when you buy a small kit from Bella’s. We’ll have a good time, and learn something along the way! Come to all 3, or just come to one or 2. The first one, Friday July 8, we’ll look at using the EZ Angle Ruler for marvelously simple Half Square Triangles. We’ll make a mini pinwheel ornament while learning, however this technique applies to many different quilt blocks. Make a pinwheel ornament or start a pinwheel quilt. Or just learn to use a new ruler. Friday July 15 come see how to use Marti Michell’s Log Cabin ruler – making a small Log Cabin ornament. We’ll also use a regular ruler to make a tiny log cabin block. Marti’s wonderful Log Cabin rulers have a simple easy system for making many sized log cabin blocks. The technique results in beautifully square blocks when finished. Make an ornament, or start a quilt! The Friday July 22 demo/mini class we’ll look at the flying geese block. The technique demonstrated will be with 2 squares and a rectangle, drawing and stitching on diagonal lines. Larger versions will result in a bonus half square triangle. We will also do a demo of the Bloc-Loc flying geese ruler as a possibility. Flying geese units are used in many different ways, and we’ll look at 2 different blocks. We’ll do a Star block as well as a tree block. Or just learn the technique.
